In either case, you must send GET original signed copies of the following documents through the mail:

- What type of orders can be placed?
GET Trader offer a variety of different order types on both CFD and Margin FX.
Market orders.
Limit orders.
Stop loss entry and exit orders.
If done orders.
One Cancels the Other (OCO) orders.
If done OCO orders.
- What are the applicable Margins?
CFDs on all equities are margined at 10%
Index CFD are margined at 5%
Margin FX is at 1% for weekdays and 2% for weekends and holidays
for the first $25,000. Amounts exceeding $25,000 will be margined 2% for
weekdays and 4% for weekends.
Futures are margined at the relevant exchange recommended margins.
- What is the minimum account size?
Our minimum account opening deposit requirement A$500 or currency equivalent.
A mini GET Trader is available for Margin FX, Gold and Silver and CFD Indexes with a minimum deposit of A$500.
You can select many currencies as the base currency of your account and all transactions will be converted back to the base currency of your account. You must notify GET by email, once your transfer has been sent on info@getfinancial.com.au
- What service will I receive as a client of GET?
Even though most trading is done online, GET takes pride in the level of
personal service that is offered to clients. As a new client, you are assigned
an Account Executive when you first open an account to help you to get trading
as quickly as possible. Your Account Executive will act as your primary
contact person at GET and can be contacted through the online chat facilities
available through GET Trader or by telephone or email.
- I have a firewall how do I configure this to work with the GET Trader?
The optimal way to connect to the GET Trader is through port 1001, to check your connection settings in the GET Trader, please do the following:
a) Open the GET Trader
b) Click "Work offline", then go to: Tools -> Connection Settings
c) For the SIMULATION system, the "URL or Domain name" should be: getsimul.getfutures.com
For the LIVE system, the "URL or Domain name" should be: getlive.getfutures.com
Port number should be 1001
"Use HTTP" and "Connect via proxy server" should NOT be ticked.
You can test connectivity through port 1001 on our port test page by pressing the "port test link". If everything is ok, you should get "You have reached the trading system port test page using TCP port 1001".
- I am getting error code 10060, 11004 or 11001, what do I do?
These errors are related to the GET Trader not being able to connect to the trading server. Try the following, step-by-step:
1) Please check your internet connection and make sure you are connected.
2) The optimal way to connect to the GET Trader is through port 1001, to check your connection settings in the GET Trader, please do the following:
a) Open the GET Trader
b) Click "Work offline", then go to: Tools -> Connection Settings

Port number should be 1001

- I am getting: Illegal login or password: Error code:
0x8004000b or 0x80040009, what do I do?
This is caused by using the wrong login id or password, you are connecting
to the wrong platform or your account has expired.
1) Delete your user name and password from the login screen, carefully retype these and try to login again
2) Click WORK OFFLINE in the login box, check the "URL or domain name" is correct for the platform you want to connect to:
Simulation platform: getsimul.getfutures.com
Live platform: getlive.getfutures.com
3) If you are still getting this error message then email info@getfinancial.com.au including the error message, the platform you want to connect to (Simulation or Live) and your login id.
- I am getting "Could not decrypt session key" when trying
to login in a Windows 2000/XP PC, what can I do?
1) Click OK to the error "Could not decrypt session key"
2) A new prompt will appear "There is a Key Mismatch, please...." please click "Close Window" to this error
3) Go to Tools (on the top menu) >> Key management >> Delete current Key, delete the current key
4) You will be asked "In order to login again, you will need either to load a backup key or generate a key", Click OK
5) You will be taken to the Key Management screen, if you have a backup of your last key, load this. Otherwise click on "Generate new key", Click "Yes" to proceed
6) You now need to contact your Account Executive or Customer Services to get the key activated.
- I am trying to login and I get "You are currently logged
in from IP address . . . . ", what can I do?
You are getting this error message because you are logged into a GET Trader
from another/or the same computer.
Close the GET Trader on the PC you first logged into to be allowed to login on the current computer.

- I am getting error code Could not create socket 10047?
Your PC is using Windows 95 which is no longer a supported operating system.
Please upgrade to Windows 98.
b. Chart & News Questions
- I have problems seeing the Charts or News, what should I do?
There are 3 possible reasons for this:
1) You need to reload your .jar files by deleting all temporary Internet
files:
a) Open up Internet explorer >> Tools >> Internet options
b) Click delete files (check mark in delete offline content
as well)
Close the GET Trader and login again, check the charts/news
2) Internet explorer security settings, if the security level of the internet
explorer, is set to high, the charts and streaming news, can in some cases
be blocked.
a) Open up Internet explorer, Tools >> Internet options
b) Click Security
c) Click trusted sites (in green)
d) Click sites
e) Remove the tick from "Require server verification (https:) for all
sites in this zone"
f) Enter the site URL: http://cf-charts.iitech.dk
g) Click Add
h) Click OK and then OK
i) Close Internet Explorer Check the charts and the streaming news.
Close the GET Trader and login again, check the charts/news
3) You may have problems with java on your PC
a) Go to the following page java test, look at section 9; the one with the
yellow car
b) If this says you have Microsoft Corp. then please do the following:
c) Go START >> RUN, here type in cmd
e) Type in: regsvr32 /u msjava.dll
f) Click OK
g) Then go to www.java.com click on the Download Now button
and download the recent version on Sun java
h) If this says you have a version of Sun Java below 1.5, and then do the
following:
i) Go to www.java.com, click on the "Download now" button and
download the recent version on Sun java.
You need to shut down GET Trader now and login again. Your charts and news
should be running properly.
c. Cryptographic key Questions
All communications between the GET Trader and GET Financial are encrypted using the Microsoft CrytoAPI and uses the Microsoft Base (or Enhanced) Cryptographic Provider. The encryption algorithms used are the RSA public key exchange algorithm and the RC4 stream encryption algorithm with a session key length of 40 or 128 bits.
Private/Public key pairs are used to authenticate users, which are randomly generated from the Client Station in coordination with the bank. The public key is automatically sent to the bank for storage and the private key is stored on the client's machine. The private key can be either 512 or 1024 bits long and for all practical purposes, is impossible to break.
With proper local administration of their User ID and Password, clients can be confident that they are well protected against misuse of their accounts from the Internet.
- Can I run GET Trader on multiple PCs?
Yes. On the simulation this can be done by just downloading the system to
the second PC using this link and logging on with the same login id and
password:

NOTE: You can not login to the GET Trader twice using the same login id.
On the Live platform you have to do the following:
1) To download the Trading platform onto the second PC, use this direct link: http://mitsweb.iitech.dk/downloads/Live/Installations/GET/en/GETTrader.msi
2) When this is done you have to export your existing cryptographic key:
a) Log into the working Trading platform
b) Tools >> Key management >> Backup key >> Enter a Password For the key (Note that this password is only to secure the key on the removable media) >> Choose a location (Floppy a:\ is recommended) >> A messages will appear 'Your Key has been saved'.
3) Now you need to transfer the key to another PC where you have installed the GET Trader:
a) Logon to GET Trader, you will be asked "In order to login again, you will need either to load a backup key or generate a key".
b) Click 'OK' to that message and go Tools >> Key management, Click the "Load backup key" button
c) Choose the location where you are loading the key from and then enter the password you chose in 2b), when you have been successful a message will appear 'Key imported successfully'.
d) Logon to GET Trader on the second PC, this time key should be encrypted.
- How do I enable Strong encryption on my PC, so I can use
this for my encryption key in the GET Trader?
Strong encryption can only be used if it is supported by your PC.
To check if your system supports strong encryption:
Open Internet Explorer and select Help > About Internet Explorer. If the Cipher Strength is 128-bit, you can enable Strong Encryption in Client Station before you generate your security key.
If the Cypher Strength is NOT 128 bit, and you want to use strong encryption, visit Microsoft and download and install the Internet Explorer High Encryption Pack.
d. General Technical Questions
- Is there a user manual for GET Trader?

- GET Trader does not run properly. How do I uninstall and
reinstall GET Trader?
Should you have any problems when running GET Trader, we advise you to delete
and reinstall GET Trader as a remedy. Please follow steps outlined below:
1) Go to START >> settings >> Control panel >> Add-remove programs.
2) Click on GET Trader and click remove
3) Go to My Computer and then navigate to C:\program files and delete the folder called GET Trader.
4) Reinstall the GET Trader for the relevant platform, from the link below:

- Will GET Trader run on my computer?
To run GET Trader on your PC, you need:
- A PC running Windows Windows 98 or newer version
- An Internet connection
- Internet Explorer 4.01 or higher
- A 800 x 600 or higher screen resolution.
- Can I change the layout of GET Trader?
Yes, GET Trader layout can be customised.
You may;
- Add, edit or delete Views (with their access tabs) from the View menu
- Add modules to a view from the Trading menu
- Save changes to the workspaces from the File menu. You will also be asked
if you want to save any changes when you exit the Client Station
- When I open the Account Summary in GET Trader I get
"Sorry you aren't entitled to use this function", what do I do?
This is more than likely because your Security settings are too high in
Internet Explorer.
To show the account summary please do the following for Windows 2000/XP
1) Close the GET Trader
2) Open Internet Explorer
3) Click tools >> internet options
4) Click security
5) Click trusted sites (in green)
6) Click sites
7) Remove the tick from "Require server verification (https:) for all sites
in this zone"
8) Enter the site URL: https://mitsweb.iitech.dk
9) Click Add
10) Click OK and then OK
11) Close Internet Explorer
12) Open the GET Trader and login
- Does GET Trader work on an Apple Mac?
